*FLORAL DESIGNER, 25 years of experience.
*MURALS
*HENNA TATTOOS AND TRADITIONAL MEHNDI. I've been studying this ancient art form and using the pulverized leaves of the Lawsonia or Henna plant since the 1970s. From barbed wire to butterflies, to the intricate traditional wedding Mehndi, my experience and artistic abilities translate to this medium with unmatched results. I make the paste fresh before every show. 100% NATURAL. Never adverse effects.
*PORTRAITS. From your favorite photos, and combinations of photos (composites). Very limited edition, individually signed and numbered, reproductions of my original artwork. There are also some portraits painted on denim.
*HAND PAINTED AND EMBELLISHED, and RESURRECTED DENIM. ONE OF A KIND, all original designs. Hand painted, beaded, sewn, embroidered and otherwise embellished. You’ll never see ANYONE wearing a coat like YOURS if you own one of these!
About me~ I grew up just west of Cleveland, Ohio, where I lived most of my life. Between Lorain, Elyria and the West side of Cleveland. I worked 2 jobs most of my adult life~ floral designer by day, bartender at night. I moved to Las Vegas in 1994, where I worked as a floral designer at some of the major hotels and casinos (MGM, Bally's~ did work for PARIS, the Palms and the Rio). I also managed the floral dept. of a very busy wedding chapel, who had full service floral (not just wedding flowers) during the day, and did henna tattoos on Fremont St. at night.
In 2002, I met Leonard, my husband, who lived in Utah and had worked for Hill Air Force base for 21 years, we got married~ I'd NEVER done THAT B4~ and in 2003, I moved to Ogden, Utah.
I'm currently a freelance artist and self-employed, but have artwork selling out of 2 stores here in town, and do many commissions for portraits, murals, florals and jackets. We 're vendors at a lot of events during the warmer months, and being able to travel around leaving may 'mark' is kinda Bohemian, and really SHWEEET!!!
I've been very fortunate to be able to do artwork full time for the past 4 years, and for that I’d like to thank and acknowledge my Leonard. He has encouraged and supported every ARTISTIC idea I come up with. The happiness that he's given me is something I'd never dreamed that I would have, BUT I DO, and I KNOW HOW FORTUNATE I am, and I appreciate every minute I have with him on this earth. The time we get to spend together will NEVER be enough.
Look, if you know me, or KNEW me, leave a flickin' comment, wilI ya, or 'email the artist' or som'm. For cryin' out loud~ SAY HI, and let me know who stopped by! I'll write back, I can almost promise.
